The Fashion industry is such a remarkable industry filled with colour, music, fun and most importantly art.
There are so many amazing aspects involved in creating the final pieces we see in our favourite magazines and catwalks. However, when you see a campaign in a magazine or a billboard the first thing that catches the eye are the clothes right?
We tend to forget that there was a team and a process involved in creating that vision, that piece of art on display. The unseen heroes: the makeup artist, nail technician, and in this case the hairstylist.
The exhibition, Hair by Sam McKnight at Somerset House although celebrates Sam McKnight’s amazing work and contribution to the fashion industry over the past 40 years also simultaneously celebrates the hard work of those behind the scenes of fashion.
The journey and story told through the exhibition is very compelling. The representation of the different hairstyles and the caliber of people he has worked with is portrayed in an impactful and classy way, which makes this exhibition is a must see, it is incredible!
